The DIY Decorating Route Is Not Necessarily the Best Way To Go

When you own your own home rather than renting, there comes a time when you need some redecoration work carried out. Of course, what a lot of people do, and have done for many years, is to take the DIY route in order to “save money”.

So one fine Saturday morning off they go to B & Q with a shopping list, and come back a couple of hours later with paint brushes, rollers, paint, sandpaper, wallpaper, paint stripper, and possibly tiles, a tile cutter, adhesive, and a lot more. They then set about emptying the lounge of furniture and commence stripping the wallpaper off the walls. They then realise that there are some cracks in the plasterwork under the wallpaper, so they have to drop everything and go back to B & Q to get some filler which they hadn’t realised they would need.

By Sunday night they are dog tired and haven’t got half as much done as they thought they would but have to go to work in the morning. So nothing more is going to get done until next weekend.

When you are painting the whole house, at this rate it will take months. Not only that, you find you have bought too much paint or not enough paint, and the same with the wallpaper, and so on.

There is a much better way and that is to get affordable painters in London to do it for you. Yes, they need paying, but they will do a far better job in far less time and won’t have to run back to B & Q for filler because they will have some on their van.
